Bob surveille la plage, a sketch by alain bertin on Flickr.

Bob balaie d’un regard perçant la surface ondoyante de l’océan qui lèche ses pieds par intermittence. Tout près, Bernard et les deux garçons tentent fébrilement d’opposer un rempart à la marée montante. Bob ne perd rien de la scène, sans doute à huit ans était-il bien plus efficace que ces trois-là réunis. Un sourire illumine son visage à la pensée de sauter à pieds joints sur les tours de sable comme autrefois. Son esprit vagabonde un instant, les pieds délicieusement rafraîchis par la température de l’eau. Au loin, quelqu’un est en train de boire la tasse…
